MD Certified SPC / APC Level Special Education Teachers Needed

Earn up to 25.00 per hour depending on exp and degree.

Staffing Plus, Inc. is urgently looking for dynamic, professional and dedicated Maryland State Certified at the SPC or APC level required. 3 years of verified employment working with the emotionally disturbed and Autistic population in

Baltimore County

The right candidate will be responsible for teaching in the educational setting.
Will be responsible for working with children with severe emotional and behavioral disabilities and Autism, often accompanied by learning disabilities.
Will be able to work within the educational team in developing and implementing plans for meeting the educational/psychosocial needs of students within the assigned grade level.
Must be able to develop IEP and Lesson plans
In some cases teach varies subjects.

These Positions are usually full time, long term contract and temp to perm
Hours normally 8am – 4pm and 8:30am – 4pm

The qualified candidate will be expected to:

Implement lesson plans to meet established curriculum guidelines and individual student needs
Documents student progress including grading papers, workbooks, class participation, homework, etc. and maintaining files related to student work as necessary.
Prepares and submits annual comprehensive progress reports, monthly progress notes, and report cards at the end of the term.
Establishes behavioral limits and maintain order within the classroom to ensure the safety of all children and to promote an effective learning environment.
Provides crisis intervention including recognizing and de-escalating problem situations by separating children involved and /or talking to children to access nature of the problem and provide resolution, initiating time –outs as needed.
Participates with administrators, parents, and counselors in developing Individual Educational Plans for students to establish goals for educational and behavior management.

Requirements needed for consideration:

CJIS @ CPS state clearances (SP will assist in obtaining)
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field!
3 years experience working directly with children and adolescents with Autism and emotional disabilities
Current Physical and PPD screening
CPR and First Aid Certified
3 Professional references
Reliable transportation
