TEACHER’S ASSISTANT’S & ONE TO ONE AIDES NEEDED FOR IMMEDIATE CASES

Staffing Plus, Inc. is recruiting Independent Contractors who are professional and dedicated to work as Teacher’s Assistants and One to One Aides to work in the classroom setting with children and adolescents diagnosis with emotional and behavioral issues in:

Harford County, Maryland

Earn up to $13.00/hour

*These positions are usually full time long term contract and temp to perm*

Hours for these great opportunities will be 8:30am-4pm Monday-Friday

The qualified candidates for the One to One cases will be required to:

Provide support to students in a classroom setting.
Work 1:1 and in small groups with mentally retarded, developmental delayed, autism and emotional disturbed clients.
Ensure that the student’s needs are identified and met daily.
Will work closely with the students Teaching and promoting community living skills.
Demonstrate the ability to work well with in a team.
Excellent communication skills.
A drive to meet program goals and objectives.
Able to handle crisis situations.

Teacher’s Assistant’s will be required to provide the following:

Assist classroom teacher and clinical staff with student population.
Tutor during school hours, assist with lesson plans.
Establish behavioral limits and maintain order within the classroom to ensure the safety of all children and to promote an effective learning environment.
Working 1:1 and in small groups with mentally challenge, developmental delayed, autism and emotional disturbed clients.
Provide crisis intervention including recognizing and de-escalation problem.
Participate with administrators, parents, and counselors in developing IEP’s for students to establish goals for educational and behavioral management.

All openings require:

• CJIS and CPS state clearances (SP will assist in obtaining)
• Must have a Bachelors degree (psychology, social work or mental health field)
• 2 year experience working directly with adults, children and adolescents
• Current Physical and PPD screening
• CPR and First Aid Certified
• Drug Screening
• 3 Professional references
• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver’s license
