As a Physical Therapist / PT you will:

* Provide direct patient care.
* Demonstrate ability to adapt examination techniques and treatment plans according to the age of the patient.
* Demonstrates optimal case management of patients.
* Utilizes appropriate pathways/guidelines. Follows proper procedures for documentation.
* Assumes a caseload appropriate to area.
* Demonstrates flexibility in accepting reallocation assignments.
* Follows proper procedures for billing.
* Follows proper procedures for insurance benefits.
* Effectively communicates department services to physicians, insurance companies, other departments.


Requirements for Physical Therapists:

* Pediatric experience Required
* Physical Therapist must be a graduate of a physical therapy curriculum accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education of the American Physical Therapy Association.
* Physical Therapist must be able to practice physical therapy per state guidelines.
* Physical Therapist must be licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.
* Must have at least one year of hospital experience.

As an Occupational Therapists/ OT you will:

** Use the latest assessment tools, clinical interventions and treatments with outpatient, short-term rehabilitation and long-term inpatient populations
** Teach skills that diminish or correct pathologies and restore, reinforce and enhance the performance of physical tasks
** Provide range-of-motion, strengthening and functional training to patients following joint replacement surgery to help them achieve independence in ADL and leisure activities
** Develop safe and effective exercise programs that improve function and reduce the risk of fractures in patients with osteoporosis
** Consult, evaluate and intervene to prevent skin breakdown in immobilized patients; heal wounds and prevent complications when breakdown occurs
** Educate patients diagnosed with a variety of illnesses to better understand and manage their conditions
** Use discharge planning skills to promote independence, maximize function and return patients to their homes


Requirements for an Occupational Therapists/OT:

** You must be a graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education.

** You must be nationally certified or eligible for certification by the National Board for the Certification of Occupational Therapy and hold and/or be eligible for appropriate state licensure, certification or registration.

As a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant/ COTA you will:

** Assists the Occupational Therapist in the evaluation process as needed or directed.
Identifies indications for and assists in evaluations at appropriate intervals under the direction of an Occupational Therapist.
** Assists the Occupational Therapist in identifying a problem list, short-term goals, long term goals and treatment plan.
** Conducts individual, supervised and group treatment as assigned by the Occupational Therapist.
** Monitors resident’s response to intervention and consults with Occupational Therapist if modification is needed.
** Provides/recommends/fabricates adaptive devices or other equipment; trains resident and caregiver in the use or application of orthotics and prosthetics.
** Confers formally and informally with other team members in coordinating the total rehabilitation program of the resident.
** Assumes responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development.
** Adheres to Occupational Therapy Department procedures regarding documentation of Occupational Therapy Services.
** Provides treatment in accordance with established standards of practice, department procedures and productivity standards.
** Records billable treatment times according to Occupational Therapy Department procedures and submits weekly/monthly statistics to regional office.
** Complies with all Infection Control, Universal Precautions and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional.
** Assists with and participates in Quality Assurance Programs as required


Requirements for a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant/COTA:

** Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
** Successful completion of the National Certification for O.T.A.
** Current state licensure or licensure eligible in states where applicable
